Marc McClain comes to the practice of law with a viewpoint firmly rooted in the technical and business challenges facing companies today.  Marc earned his master’s degree in electrical engineering and computer science.  His research focused on the guidance practicing engineers and innovators need in order to understand and navigate the complicated world of intellectual property.  He also holds an MBA, and has taught courses in product development in collaboration with Fortune 500 companies. Marc’s practice is focused on advising clients on protecting their IP rights, particularly in the area of patent prosecution.  He is particularly deft at helping clients balance the realities of the inventive process with business and legal requirements.  Marc was recently elected as the Chair-Elect of the Orange County Bar Association Intellectual Property & Technology Law Section, and hosts The IP Gurus Podcast available online.  Marc also has a passion for vintage video games and brings that passion to his patent practice.
